Ceramic Window Tinting

Dyed window film works by absorbing visible light — it darkens the glass but does relatively little against infrared heat, which is the part of sunlight you actually feel baking your dashboard and steering wheel. Ceramic film takes a completely different approach. Instead of dye, LLumar disperses non-metallic ceramic particles — sized at the nanoscale, far smaller than the wavelength of visible light — throughout the film. Those particles scatter and absorb infrared energy before it ever reaches your glass, which is why a ceramic film can reject dramatically more heat than a dyed film at the exact same shade of darkness.

In the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys, where interior temperatures climb fast in a parked car and your AC works overtime just to keep pace on the drive home, that infrared rejection isn't a nice-to-have — it's the difference between a cabin that's tolerable in July and one that isn't.
